Well… after many months, my Website is finally back up and running. The new design is looking good and functioning for the most part. I’m still working on some of the less-used features such as the search function and the contact form but most of the main features (post viewing, commenting, etc) should be working just fine. However, I’m asking that if you find any bugs or errors please let me know right away. I’d like to fix any serious problems before they can be exploited. Also, please note that most of the old posts and comments will look a bit off because I haven’t had the chance to go back through and fix them. Please do not report this to me. I already know.

It took me such a great deal of time to get my site back up due to the fact that I’m a sad, strange, little man. Every time I would come up with a design I liked I would go and start converting it to HTML and move it to WordPress but then by the time I was almost done with it I hated the design so I had to start all over again. However, I think I can safely say that the design I’m using now will be around for awhile. This is due to a few factors. One, is that I still like this design and I think I’ll continue to like it for quite awhile. Two, would be the fact that I’m tired as hell of working on this site. If I have to work on it too much longer I think I’m going to shoot myself.

Anyway, I’m glad to have the site back up and I hope you all enjoy the new design and features. As soon as I get all the work done that needs to be done still I plan on getting back to full-time blogging. I also plan to write some articles and post some of my latest creations.

So, what have all you been up to? (all who stuck around long enough to see this anyway) What do you think of my new design? Like it? Hate it? Don’t care?

P.S. In case anyone cares, I have finally got a new host. My site is currently being hosted on A Small Orange. This was not recently though. I got it quite a while back thanks to a generous donation from Chris Martz. Thanks Chris!

Update: I have finished updating all the posts so now they should all look right. However, all the comments are still not looking right. I also discovered (while fixing the posts) that some comments are just completely missing. Some of them must of not copied over correctly when I migrated from TXP so I’ll do my best to restore them all.

Lookin’ real good there Jick, there does seem to be one rather odd layout bug though.

There seems to be two columns, either side of the content, each one just over 400px wide and filled with nothing but green. ;)

Maybe I’m not seeing what you’re seeing… but what are you talking about? Everything seems to be right in the latest versions of Firefox and Opera for me.

Maybe this screenshot will clear things up a bit.

I can’t complain too much though, my blog suffers from the same problem, I want to change that in the near future.

Oh… you mean the width of the page? On 1024×768(my res) it looks good. You seem to have a higher res then me. The first version of this design had an even smaller content area. I ended up widening it quite a bit. I suppose if the demand was high enough I could widen it even more. What would you suggest?

Lookin’ good man. Due to the high contrast of the text on background it was hard for me to read the large blocks of text in this post. I’m sure the problem would be fixed if you gave the text a bit more of a line height. I’m on 1280×1024 and there is a bit of green on the sides, but so it goes with narrow fixed width designs ;) .

So are you suggesting that I lower the brightness of the text on the page Neczy? Thanks for the feedback. ;)
