Wow! It’s me! It’s been a while hasn’t it?
Check out the new design! I hope everyone likes it as much as I do. I think this one will be around for a while. It took a while of off and on work but it’s finally ready. Feel free to look around and let me know what you think. I appreciate any and all feedback. If you find any issues please let me know. As far as I’m aware it should work perfectly in all browsers except Internet Explorer. There are still a few unresolved issues with the new design in IE but I hope to have them resolved as soon as possible. Other than that, I hope this new design will be more pleasing to the eye and also introduce some additional functionality.
I just wanted to take a second to address my Easy Admin Color Schemes WordPress plugin…
It should still function in the new WordPress 2.8 which was released recently. However, I still plan to release the next version very soon. One thing I can promise for the new version is a Russian translation. I was contacted by a guy who wants to provide a Russian translation for the plugin. So, I will be including that in the next version for sure. Please keep an eye out for that.
I have started preliminary work on a new website. I think it may interest some of you who use my EACS plugin. I have received several requests for such a site and had nowhere to point people. So, I decided I would take the challenge.
Its going to be a Gallery-type website for WordPress back-end themes. There are plenty of resources for front-end WordPress themes but there really aren’t any for the back-end. My idea for this site is for it to act as a sort of repository for back-end themes. People can submit themes they create there and others can visit the site to view them and choose one for their WordPress back-end.
The new site will also work in tandem with my EACS plugin so people can easily browse the site to pick a theme and then apply it to their WordPress back-end.
I still have to work out the details but expect more on this very soon.
Well, that’s all for now. So, keep an eye out for more updates and I hope everyone enjoys the new design. Don’t forget to let me know what you think!
I just released my new plugin for WordPress called Hab.la for WordPress. Check it out!
Today I’m releasing Easy Admin Color Schemes 3.0. It is a major update of the plugin. The foremost change is the updated look and compatibility with WordPress 2.7.
I think I’ll just let the plugin speak for itself. Please give it a try and let me know what you think. Also, please let me know if you find any issues with it. Big or small. I want all the feedback I can get.
I hope everyone enjoys the new version…
A question was posed recently about if/how Easy Admin Color Schemes will work with the upcoming WordPress 2.7. I just wanted to take a quick moment to talk about this issue.
In short, yes, I do plan on updating EACS to fully work with the new WordPress 2.7.
To explain a bit more, the plugin may need some major changes to accommodate all the changes that have been implemented into WordPress 2.7. For one, the entire back-end interface has been completely retooled. Also, there have been some changes in a lot of the functions that make up WordPress. Because of this, it may be a while before I can get the plugin up to snuff.
Once I do get everything working in 2.7 I do plan on adding some enhancements. One such idea I’ve had is to implement a way for users to be able to link custom icon sets to their custom color schemes. This functionality would be to replace the new interface icons that will be in 2.7 with icons that, for example, go better with your custom schemes. I also have some other ideas for enhancements that I’m still working on. I’ll keep you posted on any new ideas I get worked into the plugin.
Anyway, that’s all I wanted to talk about right now. So, keep an eye out for new versions of EACS in the near future. Thanks for reading.
