  • EACS 3.2 Now Available! — 3 Comments — July 25th, 2009

Announcing the immediate availability of version 3.2 of my Easy Admin Color Schemes plugin for WordPress.

    Changes Since the Last Version:
    • Fixed (hopefully) the image display problems in the lower preview pane when adding/editing a color scheme.
    • Fixed a bug in the last modified times function.
    • Replaced some of the old JavaScript with jQuery code of similar functionality.
    • Added a new Preview function which opens a preview of the selected color scheme in a lightbox.
    • Added some more in-depth permissions functionality.
    • Added the ability for the primary colors to actually affect the color scheme.
    • Added the ability to set a default color scheme which will affect all new users.
    • Added the ability to force a certain color scheme on all users regardless of what they choose.
    • Updated the included readme, screenshot, and .POT file to include the new changes.

Please go download it right now and test it out. I have made some significant changes in this version so don’t be surprised if you find a couple bugs here and there. I have done quite a bit of testing though and everything works for me. But, if you do run into any issues, please feel free to get in contact with me.

    Enjoy!

  • Out With the Old… — 0 Comments — June 13th, 2009

    Wow! It’s me! It’s been a while hasn’t it?

The New Design Check out the new design! I hope everyone likes it as much as I do. I think this one will be around for a while. It took a while of off and on work but it’s finally ready. Feel free to look around and let me know what you think. I appreciate any and all feedback. If you find any issues please let me know. As far as I’m aware it should work perfectly in all browsers except Internet Explorer. There are still a few unresolved issues with the new design in IE but I hope to have them resolved as soon as possible. Other than that, I hope this new design will be more pleasing to the eye and also introduce some additional functionality.

    EACS Updates

I just wanted to take a second to address my Easy Admin Color Schemes WordPress plugin…

It should still function in the new WordPress 2.8 which was released recently. However, I still plan to release the next version very soon. One thing I can promise for the new version is a Russian translation. I was contacted by a guy who wants to provide a Russian translation for the plugin. So, I will be including that in the next version for sure. Please keep an eye out for that.

    The Gallery

I have started preliminary work on a new website. I think it may interest some of you who use my EACS plugin. I have received several requests for such a site and had nowhere to point people. So, I decided I would take the challenge.

Its going to be a Gallery-type website for WordPress back-end themes. There are plenty of resources for front-end WordPress themes but there really aren’t any for the back-end. My idea for this site is for it to act as a sort of repository for back-end themes. People can submit themes they create there and others can visit the site to view them and choose one for their WordPress back-end.

The new site will also work in tandem with my EACS plugin so people can easily browse the site to pick a theme and then apply it to their WordPress back-end.

I still have to work out the details but expect more on this very soon.

    That’s All Folks

Well, that’s all for now. So, keep an eye out for more updates and I hope everyone enjoys the new design. Don’t forget to let me know what you think!

  • EACS 3.0 — 4 Comments — January 22nd, 2009

Today I’m releasing Easy Admin Color Schemes 3.0. It is a major update of the plugin. The foremost change is the updated look and compatibility with WordPress 2.7.

I think I’ll just let the plugin speak for itself. Please give it a try and let me know what you think. Also, please let me know if you find any issues with it. Big or small. I want all the feedback I can get.

I hope everyone enjoys the new version…
